Here's the demo of Watchmen: The End is Nigh, the game of the highly anticipated movie of the much loved graphic novel.
Take control of NightOwl II or Rorschach, and fight through a violent prison riot. It looks like someone wanted there to be a riot, and together you're out to uncover the plot. While you're there, you'll beat a lot of rioting prisoners to death. This is an adult game, with lots of blood, and strong language, so be warned.
Watchmen: The End is Nigh utilitizes the style of the original Alan Moore graphic novel for backstory and cut scenes, and the more Hollywood style of the movie for the action. They don't fit together that well, but the voice acting is good, and fans will certainly be pleased to see some of the original's style maintained.
The action itself, or at least this demo, is a third person beat 'em up, with minimal puzzles to help you on your way to the next brawl. Watchmen: The End is Nigh is very dark, but looks good. The combat is little more than mouse button bashing, and not hugely satisfying. There are a number of combos and finishing moves the two characters can pull off, but you don't feel really in control, as you don't need to aim - your character will automatically lunge for the nearest enemy.
If you love the Watchmen movie, you'll probably enjoy the game, but it seems a pretty uninspired tie in, and doesn't do anything new.
